HEAD- GOVERNMENT BANKING

We are looking for a South Sudanese national, commercially focused and self-driven experienced professional who will be the key liaison between the bank, Governmental Agencies, the development partners, private sector players and the clients.

Reporting to the Head-Institutions & Co-operative Banking Department, we are looking for a person who combines relationship management expertise with business acumen, constructively challenges the business and provides valuable insight to ensure optimal decision-making outcomes.

The role

The successful jobholder will be expected to:

• Marketing and onboarding of Government Agencies, both at National and at the States level.
•  Assist in seeking and mobilizing deposits from Government Business, Government donor funded projects and other development partners.
• Assist in scoping business levels with clear wallet sizes of all partnerships.
•  Write proposals and tenders to Government and Government funded Donor Projects for banking business including, Project Management & implementation, CIT, consultancy services among other related business.
• Work with relevant Government Departments, Agencies & Development Partners to enhance social economic development in areas critical to the bank such as agriculture and Co-operatives development.
•  Act as a liaison between the bank, Government and donors/development partners and Other private sector players.
•  Coordination of Government donor project implementation undertaken by the bank.
•  Provide leadership for the bank’s Government business by managing the Government banking portfolio and working with other business units for the growth of this business sector.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

The successful jobholder will be required to possess the following qualifications: –

• Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with experience ideally in a leading organization, with a proven track record in marketing & relationship management
  especially to Government and donor agencies.
• A Master’s degree or relevant post graduate diploma will be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge (not less than 2 years) of Banking, Government, donor relations, proposal writing and/or general business/will be added advantage.
• Strong sales, conceptual, analytical, documentation and presentation skills with ability to influence and negotiate at different levels.
